Canon Background

Bartz was born in the small town of Lix to parents Dorgann and Stella. He lived a fairly normal childhood, but little did he know that his father was actually from another world. Dorgann, in fact, was one of the four original Warriors of Dawn, along with Galuf, Kelgar, and Xezat. Unfortunately, Dorgann died when Bartz was about 17, thus he took his father's advice and set out to explore the world with his chocobo companion Boco. While exploring the world, he met Lenna, Galuf, and Faris, and decided to help them out.

Bartz eventually becomes one of the new Warriors of Light, entrusted to save the crystals and eventually defeat ExDeath and the Void. He eventually learned of his father's past as a Warrior of Dawn, and gladly follows in his father's footsteps.

Lix ended up being destroyed through ExDeath's use of the Void, sending Bartz into a rage at the destruction of his birthplace. Fortunately, after the defeat of ExDeath, the village is restored.

It's assumed that Bartz had children after the game, as his direct descendent, Linaly Klauser, is featured in a similar story 200 years later.

•  Strengths - Physically strong, easygoing, and has a strong moral sense.
•  Weaknesses- Attractive girls.
•  Hobbies - Exploring the world, riding chocobos.

•  Appearance - Bartz has a somewhat simple appearance. With light-blond, almost white hair, he wears a sort of headband made of beads, accentuating his forehead almost like a crown. He wears a light, sleeveless shirt and sometimes some basic shoulder armor. He stands at 5'9" and is finely toned from all of the adventuring he loves to do.

   

•  Personality - Bartz is a somewhat easy-going adventurer. Initially, all he cares about is exploring the world, but his moral sense overcomes that and he willingly helps out Lenna and Galuf, and ends up gladly saving the world.

   

  He obviously cares very much for his father, and heeded his advice to explore the world. Then when he decided to save the crystals, he did so because he knew his father would have wanted it. Knowing that stopping ExDeath would be essentially following in his father's footsteps made him even more proud to undertake that task.

   

  In a more humorous side, Bartz loves the ladies. At the beginning of the game, Galuf catches Bartz checking Lenna out. Later, he catches Faris sleeping (while he still thinks Faris is a man) and gets all hormonal, because she obviously looks cute while sleeping. Upon finding out that Faris was a girl, this hormonal outburst was justified (to him at least). Later on, when Faris is dressed as a princess, he is speechless at her appearance, and manages to humorously tell her how beautiful she looks.

Moogle Island History

•   Doings - Bartz arrived on Kupopi Beach and was immediately captured by Renegades. Lenna and Faris rescued him, and they later met up with Ashe and Refia, who accompanied him (read: ran for their lives) to Kupopi Beach.

   

   

   

•   Regained Memories/Powers - Bartz remembers travelling the world(s) with Faris, Lenna, and Krile, and eventually saving the world(s). 

 Relationships

•   Intimate - Nobody, although he is attracted to Lenna... Well, he's attracted to any pretty girl, but he has a soft spot for Lenna.
•   Friends - 

Lenna - The one who took an extremely bold step in rescuing Bartz from being captured by the moogles. He barely remembers her from his homeworld, but he feels a connection to her. Not to mention he thinks she's hot.

Faris - Another one from Bartz's world who helped rescue him. Bartz still thinks she's a guy, but he's still not exactly sure.

Refia - Another one who joined in the "Rescue Bartz" quest. He doesn't know her very well, but she accompanied Bartz and Lenna in retrieving supplies from the Renegades. [Insert comment about how Bartz thinks she's hot too.]

Krile - A fellow Warrior of Light. When Krile saw Bartz again for the first time in Moogle Island, she tackle-hugged him, jolting his memories of the past.
